"Prayers are the stairs we must climb everyday; if we want to reach God there is no other way." Helen Steiner Rice

To preserve the anonymity of the people requesting prayer and for clarity, I have briefly edited their
prayer requests. To update to this week's prayer list, please click your browser's "refresh" button.
Thank you, in Jesus, Patsy Rule ~ PS, I would appreciate your comments and please write to me with your prayer requests. Thank you!

NOTE FROM PATSY'S HUSBAND JOHN--I'm filling in for Patsy now because she recently had surgery and now is really sick--she is in a hospital in Denver, Colorado. Please, please, please keep her lifted up in your prayers! Thank you so much, in Jesus, John

~Amanda writes asking for prayer that her mother would find Jesus--from her mother's name, I thinkshe is Asian and likely comes from a Buddhist or Hindu background. So please pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to her, and that she will have a healthy, long life in the long arms of Jesus!

~Betty asks for prayer for her family--who are all in their 40's and are caught up in the problems so common with secular living--they desperately need Jesus in the center of their lives. Betty expects God to answer our prayers for her family and will write back to let us know when He answers.

~Steve, who is a senior, has a lot of trouble staying focused on Jesus when he is praying--he is afraid it could be due to some demonic influence. Well I'm a senior myself and sometimes I have the same problem, which I know is not due to anything demonic--it's just part of growing old. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit will manifest Himself in Steve in such a way that he will know--beyond any doubt, that Jesus is in his heart. Then there will be no room for anything demonic. Let's also pray that Jesus will anoint him with His Blood from Steve's head to his toes. Thank you!

~ Barbara wants us to pray for her son. He is trying to buy a house but his ex-wife who is on drugs keeps interfering. He needs some peace. The Bible tells us in Prov 3:25, 26 that we are not to be afraid of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord shall be our confidence and He will not let our feet slip.

~ Bob writes that he is lonely and without love. The Lord knows what He has planned for you as Jer 29:11 states. He knows the plans He has for your life--plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. Put your complete confidence in Him.

~ Kitty wants us to remember her in prayer. She will be having eye surgery, which she cannot afford, and she also needs expensive blood pressure medication. Kitty, I know it is hard, but Phil 4:19 tells us that our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.

~ Laura is about to become homeless and she also needs the Lord in her life. She has already had to give up her dog and her cat and her car. Now, she has less than two weeks to find a place to stay. Laura just needs to trust in the Lord with all her heart and not to rely on her own understanding. It is scary and beyond all human comprehension as we want to be in control. But, just trust the Lord.

~ Ralph and his wife need God's help in finding a buyer for the home they are selling. Proverb 16:3 tells us to commit to the Lord whatever we do and our plans will succeed.

~ Tony and Sharon need to come into a deeper relationship with the Lord. Time is short, so our prayers need to be urgent! Tony's grandfather is in the hospital. He needs us to pray for his healing. Luke 5:15 tells us that when Jesus was on this earth, crowds of people came to Him to be healed of their sicknesses.

~ Jane feels her family is under severe attack. Her husband's by commission-only sales job is killing them, with the high gas prices, and she feels that she and her husband will not be able to send their children back to school with the things they will need for the new school year. Despite that, she and her husband have remained faithful to the Lord. Father, You say in Your Word that You will honor those who honor You (1 Sam 2:30). Be faithful to Jane and her family and be the God You say You are.

~ Sue has had Graves disease for 11 years. This has led to many other health issues. All she finds herself doing is taking a lot of medication. She finds herself depressed and sometimes even contemplates suicide. She needs the Lord to work in her life and on her life. Please Lord, let her never lose her faith in you, like Job. Fill her life with Your presence and give her meaning in her life.

~ Richard, Walter and Shakey all need to have the hand of God move mightily in their lives. Thank God, their problems have led them closer to the Lord--like Job. Now we pray that You, O Father, establish Your will in their lives and that they learn to listen to Your voice.

~ Like many Americans, Sharon and her husband are having financial problems especially in dealing with their home and the VA. They need our prayers. Lord, you promise in Your Word to always provide for our needs. We ask You to fulfil that promise in the lives of Your people.

~ Scott wants us to pray with him to remain yielded and open to God's calling on his life. That's a good prayer request, Scott. I've always believed that where God guides, He will always provide. Hang on to those words even when the going gets tough.

~ George and his wife would like prayer for her father who had a hip operation. He needs complete recovery. Prov 3:7 and 8 tell us not to be wise in our own eyes but to fear the Lord and shun evil. If we do this, the Bible promises that it will bring health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones.

~ Jason has a very simple prayer request for the Lord. He simply wants to be released from his addiction to pain medication. To not be addicted to pain medication, you must first be pain-free. So, let's first pray for your healing. Remember that when Jesus walked this earth, He had no sicknesses or diseases. Tell Him you want to be just like Him!

~ Gary needs God's help and strength to not hear the devil's voice and his vicious lies anymore. Psalm 18:32 is David's acknowlegement that it is God who arms him with strength and who makes His ways perfect. Rely on the Lord and He will not let you down. Claim the Blood of Jesus!

~ Daniel needs our prayers. He was raised in the church but now says he is an atheist. Please pray that God will put the right people in his life and that they will lead him back to the Lord. Most of all I want to pray that God will remove all the reasons for Daniel turning his back on the Lord from Daniel's life.

~ Moses wants us to pray that his church in Alaska will get the right pastor to lead them this year. At the moment, a church elder is leading their services. Whomever is in leading the services, Moses, I am sure the Lord is in control. God knows the hearts and minds of people who heed His Word.

~ Russell needs prayer to receive guidance and direction in his life. Prov 16: 3 tells us to commit whatever we do to the Lord and our plans will succeed. To receive His guidance and direction, we must be willing to follow His leading.

~ William needs prayer for a son who has a drinking problem. This son needs the Lord's touch to remain alcohol-free, but he is too weak to be steadfast against the enemy. Isa 40: 29 says that the Lord gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Keep praying for your son and we will also. The Blood of Jesus is our best defence against the enemy.

~ Sandy needs prayer. Last week, the whole left side of her body went numb. Now the doctors have noted a spot on her brain. They think she may have MS. Lord, we commit Sandy and her body to You. You made her body and You created her. Father, we pray that You will comfort Sandy in what she may be going through. Most of all, we pray that Sandy will be able to keep focused on You. Heal her body, we pray, with the Blood of Jesus.
